The Thousand Palms Yacht & Polo Club was formed on December 4, 2024. The night before the Bonker received a telephone call from good friend David “DJ” Johnson. He was was exuberant and could hardly contain himself as he proudly boasted  that he and Sweet Susan (current girlfriend) had joined the exclusive Alder Brook Golf and Yacht Club in Washington.

After a sleepless night with my mind at warp speed, the Thousand Palms Trailer Park Yacht and Polo Club was formed… a private club not affiliated with the Tri Palm Estates and Country Club.

Officers were appointed the next day while and after consuming great quantities of liquid libations at Richard Wojtowicz’s patio after a round of golf. The qualifications of these Board Members is that they were in the right place at the right time. They were all coronated and assigned titles of characters from the tv show Gilligan’s Island, but not before all bent a knee and swore an oath of fealty to the Commodore, Thurston Howell III.

• Secret Service Director to the Commodore: Will Gonzalez

The rest is history. Damm the torpedos! Full steam ahead!
